My Favorite Things

what I do

As a creative person, I focus my energy in four areas: design, photography, cyanotypes, and dance. I support my clients through design and photography, cultivate a more inclusive dance world through Degender Dance, and express my own creativity through Blue Lou.

An evil eye blinks

Marketing Design

I help you figure out how you want to show up as your brand, and then we build it togehter. Whether that’s your visual identity, website, album art, campaign graphics, or the touch-points in between, I make sure it all feels cohesive, intentional, and unmistakably you.

Photography

I specialize in creating photography that goes beyond the surface, delving into the personalities of my subjects to reveal their authentic selves. Whether it's showcasing the vibrant energy of musicians, the charisma of performers, or the unique identity of small businesses, I am to tell compelling stories.

Blue Lou Art

In my cyanotype practice I work with the botanicals I gather and press, printing them through a traditional sun-process onto paper and fabric. I sell my work throughout the PNW at craft markets, and local art shows.

Degender Dance

My co-founder Kate Skye Paisley and I created Degender Dance to build more inclusive dance spaces where everyone can move without barriers or expectation. We also make guides, podcasts and resources that challenge traditional norms and help decolonize the way dance is taught and experienced.

What people say

I love my clients and collaborators, supporting creative visions is what I do best. Here are some kind words from my clients about projects we created together.

Lou's response to the conservatory's closure in March 2020 was swift and innovative. They led collaborative efforts with volunteers, leveraging social media to maintain access to our collection, resulting in a significant Instagram following increase from 2k to 11k within a year. Despite leadership changes, Lou seamlessly transitioned into new roles, advocating for staff interests and serving as interim board president, demonstrating unwavering commitment to our mission.

Lou has been a wonderful person to work with and comes highly recommended for all creative matters with regard to design and branding. They bring a really positive vibe to the table, and are adept at organically synthesizing the many interests and values of their clients into a cohesive whole. As a client, I felt like I could relax and focus on my own creative ideas, knowing that all the details were in good hands.

Lou did a great job designing the artwork for my last album Too Sweet. Lou really listened and understood my vision for the artwork. The art looked amazing and was exactly what I envisioned. When asked to tweak things they were quick, professional, and efficient. I look forward to working with Lou again in the future.
